So I was really, really busy with work….then I lost my job due to layoffs and stayed in bed for a couple of weeks. Now, I’m going to home to visit my sick princess kitty back in northern CA. I pulled an all-nighter last night so this post might end up marginally insane sounding but something really cool(ish) has prompted me to return. SuperShuttle upgraded my shit from a 7 person shared ride to a private Town Car, complete with a cool driver. First of all…I have envisioned myself being driven around by a chauffeur in a Bentley since I was like 12…..I’m a far cry from that for now but today was definitely something I could get used to. It’s very cool to descend the steps in front of your apartment building and have a nicely dressed driver open your door. I felt pretty baller in comparison to the 3 homeless people who were watching/potentially selling crack a few feet away. Also, the driver was so nice. We had a good little chat about the horrendously shitty state of the economy, the weather (duh, but it’s also been like 102 lately), The Newsroom, idiotic politicians, the importance of voting, the shift in how people manage their careers now compared to in the past, and so on. I mean, he was legit.

That’s all. Now I’m at the airport wishing I could always be driven around in a comfy car and reading magazine while feeling slightly more cracked out off coffee every minute.
