This week is hectic! There’s the DNC and there’s also fashion week….are they trying to kill those of us who’d like to keep up with both? I’m going to cover everyone else later but I was just looking at what has happened so far…what the fuck Thakoon Addition. What are you doing with your life, Thakoon? WHAT IS THIS?
Not so much ready to wear as ready to be disposed of, and fast. Some may tell me that I have an untrained eye, I’ve never been to fashion school, I don’t understand the art behind this piece. Or something. To them I say, it’s clearly hideous and he should have never allowed it to get past his imagination. I usually have mixed feelings about his work, but this one is a blatant no. No, no, no, no, no. I like that it’s asymmetrical, I like the colors…but that cut is just atrocious. I hate that it’s a romper with baggy, knee-length shorts. That’s not flattering on anyone, not even the model. I don’t like that it’s long sleeved. I hate the tie-waist. If this piece can’t even flatter a model…who would it look okay on? I honestly don’t understand the appeal of this whatsoever. I don’t think the model does, either. Look at her face!
