Here’s how you can fix this country

I have extremely dodgy internet (which happens to not actuaallllyyy be mine) at my new place.  I’m getting my own on Monday, but this cannot wait. Since it’s currently in a little blip where it’s fast enough to post, I’m posting! I have 325 followers here. Not a ton, but not insignificant. I don’t know how many actually come by to check it out, but to anyone who does: PLEASE register to vote. I think we all know who I want to win based upon some of my past posts, but no matter what everyone who can vote needs to. You can do it online now, at least in California. I don’t know about everywhere else, and my internet is too messed up to go look. If you’re in CA, here’s the link: http://registertovote.ca.gov/ You have until Oct. 22nd, but I suggest doing it now before you forget. Also, clearly registering isn’t where it ends. Go out and vote, too! =)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – there’s just too much at stake not to.

I also posted this link to my Facebook page, and someone responded, “one vote can’t make a difference…” If anyone else is thinking the same thing, here’s what I have to say to that: one might not be able to. That could easily be true. That’s why it’s important that everyone does. If everyone were to go out on Nov. 6th, a difference would be made. It might not be the difference I’m hoping for, but the fact of the matter is millions of people lean one way or the other. If a few thousand people who might have voted for Obama are under the illusion that one vote doesn’t matter, it would actually negatively impact his odds of winning. That’s why I encourage everyone to go vote, tell your friends to vote, and try to make  whichever change you’d like to see happen here.
